Armstrongs are proud to announce that we are forming an informal friendship group for anyone who has suffered bereavement in Bury St Edmunds and the surrounding area.
Our commitment to our families doesn't end when the funeral service has taken place. We understand that in time, naturally the routine of friends & family returns to normal and this can lead to emotions that you may not feel able to discuss with them.
We are not counsellors, but our group can offer an informal & friendly setting, where people are welcome to contribute, or simply to listen as participation isn’t mandatory. Refreshments are provided, and we also plan to organise trips & invite guest speakers later on in the year.
These are some of the benefits that can be gained from a bereavement group:
* Support and understanding from others who have experienced a similar loss.
* Companionship with people who “get it” and understand first-hand what you’re going through.
* Emotional and physical support in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
Meetings are the second Tuesday of every month from 2.00 - 3.30pm upstairs at the Bay Tree Café, St Johns Street, Bury St Edmunds
The group is free and all are welcome no matter how long ago you were bereaved, or which funeral director you used; but please call on 01284 723889 in advance or email firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest or for further information.
